In Grade 6 - 8, we support students in continuing to build upon the skills and knowledge gained in previous grades, with a focus on more sophisticated reading comprehension, mathematical concepts, and writing tasks. The curriculum becomes increasingly challenging to prepare students for the demands of middle school and beyond.

Grade 6

Reading:

• Literary Analysis: Analyzing literary elements such as symbolism, figurative language, and character development in literature.

• Research Skills: Developing advanced research skills, including gathering information from multiple sources, synthesizing information, and citing sources accurately.

• Number Sense: Continuing to build a strong foundation in number theory, including prime numbers, factors, and multiples.

• Operations: Mastering operations with fractions, decimals, and integers, including solving complex multi-step word problems.
